3.4 Automatically catalog volumes when they are ejected

Unfortunately, Mac OS X and all the new "security" features in recent releases make it very hard for an application such as NeoFinder to get information about mounted or unmounted volumes.

So it is no longer possible to automatically launch NeoFinder and fully automatically catalog or update a disk when it is mounted.

But with a cool additional application, you can somewhat improve the situation.

Just download
update-eject.zip (101 KB), uncompress it, and place the app on your Desktop, maybe in the lower right corner of it.

Update and Eject in NeoFinder

Then, drag any volume on this icon, and it will launch NeoFinder, and catalog or update the catalog of the disk. Afterwards, the disk will be ejected.

Now that was easy, right?
