Table of Contents                           12.1 Get your NeoFinder Catalogs to the iPhone or iPad

12.1.4 Using AirDrop

Another easy and simply way to copy your NeoFinder catalog files to you iPhone is the use of Apples AirDrop technology. This requires Bluetooth and WiFi.

Remember that this requires that the catalog files have a name suffix of either “.neofinder”, “.neofinder7”, “.cdw”, or “.abemeda7”, so that Apples iOS knows that NeoFinder iOS can handle these files.
If you have older catalog files without a name suffix, you can simply rename them on your computer before transferring them.

1) Activate Airdrop on your iPhone or iPad

Use the Control Center to turn AirDrop on and control whom you can share content with. Swipe up from the bottom of your screen to open Control Center. Then tap AirDrop. Select one of these options:
Off: Turns off AirDrop.
Contacts Only: Only your contacts.
Everyone: All nearby iOS devices using AirDrop.

2)
Activate AirDrop on your Mac

This requires Mac OS X 10.10 or newer.

Choose Go > AirDrop from the menu bar in the Finder. Or select AirDrop in the sidebar of a Finder window. The AirDrop window shows nearby AirDrop users. Drag one or more NeoFinder catalog files to the recipient's image in the window, then click Send.

AirDrop on iOS will then automatically launch NeoFinder iOS for you and activate the catalog file(s) you have dropped there. Done!

Airdrop on Windows?

As AirDrop is not available on Windows, unfortunately, this will not work for abeMeda for Windows. In that case, try an app like
Filedrop.
